Drums
These ceramic djembe style drums are hand thrown on a potter's wheel with either stoneware or raku clay. They are then bisque fired, decorated and fired at cone 6, or raku fired. Goatskin was soaked to soften, and stretched on rings to make the drumhead. Ceramic djembes have a clean sound, much crisper than a wooden drum. Each drum was handcrafted with care and pleasure. Thanks for checking them out!
Each hand made drum is unique; sizes are estimated only, and prices are subject to change.
