We will study favorite "critters" from the jungle, forest, and tundra and look at how authors CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien created fantastic creatures combining mythology and some of these real life animals.  Then, we will design our own and bring them to "life" through the magic of ceramic sculpture!

        Can You Play This? ( 6 - 11yr. olds)
Did you know that there are several instruments you can make out of clay? Oh yesssssssss! We will make a Jewish shofar that sounds much like a trumpet, whistle that looks like a favorite animal, and a kettle drum that can be played with your hands or sticks.....Creative noise played here!

        Carousel Critters (6 - 11yr. olds)
Who doesn't like the magical ride of a merry-go-round? This class will look at all the wonderful "critters" that can be ridden on a merry-go-round, from horses to rabbits and an occasional
dragon! Each student will then design and hand-build their own fantastic clay "critter(s)" that will be a beautiful 3D sculpture.
